Prep Time: 15 minutes // Bake Time: 5-20 minutes
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut onion into approximately 1/4 inch rings
- Carefully separate the rings from each other
- Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper and paprika in a bowl
- Coat each onion ring in the flour mixture and set aside
- Combine the leftover flour mixture that you coated the onions with and the milk, egg and beat until no lumps remain
- Coat each onion ring in the mixture and shake off excess
- Coat each onion ring in the breadcrumbs
- Fry the onion rings in a fryer or a pot with oil until golden (you can also bake them at 425 for 20 minutes or until golden brown)
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 cup of The Greater Knead Flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 Tbsp Paprika
- 1 Egg (or egg substitute)
- 3/4 cup of dairy-free milk OR try gluten-free beer for a beer battered version!
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- Salt as desired
- The Greater Knead Breadcrumbs to coat
- Oil for frying
